William G. Middlebrook, age 89, of Sidney, OH and formerly of Fletcher, OH passed away on October 24, 2022.
Born on October 27, 1932 in Shelby County, OH. He was the only child of the late Thomas A and Ina M. (Linder) Middlebrook.
He married the former Maxine Petersimes on August 13, 1952 and she preceded him in death on September 23, 2006. Together they raised two children: Thomas Middlebrook of Piqua and Rhonda DeLaet (Butch) of Sidney. He was a loving grandfather to two “favorite granddaughters” Alicia Motomura (Andrew) of Union, KY, and Erica (Brian) Lentz of Sidney, six great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
Bill was a 1950 graduate of Houston High School and he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from Honda of America. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Piqua, the American Legion, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Bill loved history, reading, and making people laugh with his jokes. He was a fan of the Cleveland Browns, The Ohio State Buckeyes, and the Cincinnati Reds. His greatest joy was his family.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, October 31, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Miami Memorial Park, 7875 N. Crescent Drive, Covington, Ohio with Pastor Ron Green presiding. Military honors will follow by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad of Piqua..
