Shelley Ellen Hassler went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 15, 2020 at 2:04 p.m. She was surrounded by family and friends at home. She was born on November 18, 1969 to the late Lloyd and Judy Legge of St. Paris Ohio. She was preceded in death by a brother Mark Franklin Legge and nephew Lucas Garrett Whitt. She is survived by her husband Franklin Hassler of Florida, her Son Lakota Hassler and fiancée Anna MacDonald of St. Paris. Sisters Laura, Dan Johnson of Troy, Lora, Rodney Anderson of St.Paris,  Sue, Chris Longstreath of Urbana, Heidi, Ty Burroughs of St. Paris and brother Phillip, Cambria Legge of St. Paris. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  And friend Scott Tully. Shell attended the St. Paris Community Church of the Nazarene under the Pastorship of Kristi Payne. Shell worked in health care for many years. She enjoyed caring for people. She loved long walks, spending time with friends and family, her cat Annie Bella and dog Skye. She was an avid reader and loved to write. She loved road trips and adventure. Her zeal for life was amazing. Shell will be greatly missed. Praise the Lord her trust was in God. There will be no services. A private family gathering will be held to commemorate her life. In lieu of flowers donate to the National CMV Foundation.
