Obituary

Larry Joe Brunke, age 80, of St Paris, OH passed away on June 2, 2022 in Grandview Hospital, Dayton, OH.

Born on April 27, 1942, in St Paris OH, Joe was the son of the late Maurice Edward Brunke and Vivian Jeanne (Maggert) Hutchinson.

Joe is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Todd & Jill Brunke of St. Paris and Tony & Wendy Brunke of Casstown. He was a loving grandfather to five grandchildren:  Cameron McKinley, Mason, Dallas, Jakob & Luke Brunke. He is also survived by his special friend, Barb Pierce of Sidney. In addition to his parents, his grandmother who raised him, Mabel Maggert, preceded him in death.

He was a 1961 graduate of Graham High School. Joe served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Philip Grieser Memorial Post #7645 VFW and the St. Paris VFW. Joe was formerly employed by KTH and also worked for BF Goodrich in Troy and was a police officer in St Paris and a Deputy Sheriff.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022 11:00 a.m. in the Evergreen Cemetery, St. Paris, OH with Reverend Mark Atterholt of Grafton United Methodist Church presiding.
