Gary L. Baker, age 81, of Minister, OH passed away in his home in Okeechobee, Florida on May 4, 2021.
Gary was born on March 17, 1940, in Piqua, OH, the son of the late Harold L. and Marie Fern (Fahel) Baker.
He married Kay Lump on August 8, 1959 and she survives. Together they raised three children: Nadina (Ron) Curtner, Susan Partington, and Ron Baker. He was a loving grandfather to seven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren. A sister, Alice Patterson survives him.
In addition to his parents, a sister, Irene Smith preceded him in death.
Gary was employed by Dinner Bell Foods for 32 years as a butcher. He then became a locksmith and owned Baker’s Locksmith until he retired.
Gary loved nothing more than his family and his grandchildren and great grandchildren were very special to him. After retirement his favorite pastime was hunting and fishing.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main St. Fletcher, OH.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at 11:00 am in the funeral home with Gary’s nephew, Pastor Chad Lump presiding. Burial will follow in Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco, OH.
