Elizabeth "Libby" Ann (Eaton) Evans

September 28, 1931 ~ September 6, 2022 (age 90)

Elizabeth (Libby) Evans, 90, of St. Paris, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2022 and was reunited with her husband Charles (Chuck) and son Kermit. She was born September 28, 1931 in St. Paris to Lewis Howard and Mary (Walborn) Eaton.

Libby worked for many years as the cashier and cooked food for her lunch customers at Eaton's Market in St. Paris. Her shredded chicken and baked goods were a few customer favorites. Libby and her husband of 70 years, Chuck, could often be found sitting on the front porch of their Springfield Street home waving to those driving by and talking to local farmers.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, Chuck, her son, Kermit, her brothers and sisters-in-law Don (Fonda) Eaton and Kermit (Sondra) Eaton.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter-in-law Linda (Fred) Fullerton; her grand-daughters Kelly (John) Wilson of Mechanicsburg, Ohio and Kristin (Travis) Freeman of Woodstock, GA; her great-grandchildren Emma, Elyse, and Eli Wilson and Isabella, Anna, Alexis, and Isaac Freeman; her nephew Kevin Eaton, and niece Lisa Eaton Palmer.

“Nan” as she was referred to by her grandkids and great-grandkids loved hearing about and attending their activities.

Many thanks to those who have assisted with Libby and Chuck's care over the years. Special thanks to the staff at Urbana Place and ProMedica Hospice for their help the last few months.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Atkins-Shively Funeral Home.
