Obituary

Donald N. Pence, age 79 of St. Paris, OH passed away on May 22, 2022 in the Grandview Hospital, Dayton.

Born on January 29, 1943 in Piqua, OH, Don was a son of the late Warren and Helen (Neal) Pence. 

He married Kathleen Gravitt on September 1, 1964 and she preceded him in death on June 27, 2019. Together they raised two children, Beth (Seth) Joy of Edwardsville, IL and the late David Pence. He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren, Addie, Carson, Megan and Erin. He is also survived by his brother, Dennis (Karen) Pence and nephew Jeff Pence both of Sandpoint, Idaho.

In addition to his parents, wife and son, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Warren Pence.

Don graduated from Graham High School in 1961 and studied at Wright State University. He served his country in the US Marine Corp from 1963 to 1967. He was a maintenance welder for GM for many years. Don was a member of the Ohio Gun Collector’s Club, the Troy Fish & Game, St. Paris Lions Club, 3rd Marine Division Association, and was a  DAV life member and VFW life member. 

A service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
