David Christopher Clark, age 33, of Waxahachie, TX and formerly of Rosewood, OH passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 in Texas. David was born on July 10, 1987 in Bellefontaine, OH.
David graduated in 2006 from Graham High School, St. Paris and in 2008 from Edison State College, Piqua, OH with a degree in Criminal Justice. David was accepted into the Dallas, TX police Academy and graduated in 2009. David served 12 years with the Dallas Police Dept.
David enjoyed shooting, camping and weight lifting. While attending Graham schools he participated in wrestling, baseball, football, and FFA. He was involved in 4-H and showed animals at the Champaign County Fair.
David is survived by his fiancé Priscilla Ellington, a son Leo Josiah Clark, his father, Gary Clark and fiancé Carol, mother and stepfather, Cynthia and Rick Current, a sister and brother-in-law, Carly and Jon Zoerb, niece and nephew Madison and Parker Zoerb, grandmothers Rita Carr and Mary Maxine Clark, uncles Charles (Debra) Clark, Dennis (Jill) Clark, Tracy (Pam) Carr.
He was preceded in death by grandfathers Albert Lee Clark and Jerry Carr.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield Street, Saint Paris, Ohio. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Michael Maurice presiding. Masks and social distancing are required. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
