Daniel J. Wardley, age 49, of St. Paris, OH passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in the Kettering Medical Center.
He was born on January 26, 1973 in Urbana, Ohio a son of the late William W. Wardley and Clara (Alvarez Miranda) Wardley survives in St Paris.
Dan married Mandy Cecil on September 12, 1999 and she survives along with their two children, Daniel J. Wardley, II, and Madalyn Wardley all of St. Paris. He is also survived by sisters, Yvonne (Butch) Whetstone, Tammy (Mark) George, Leanne Hayslip (Jason Vorhees), brothers-in-law, Mathew (Kristen) Cecil, Kurt & Josh Cecil, Paul Williams and sister-in-law, Chelsea Cecil and many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Dan was a 1991 graduate of Graham High School. In 1997 he then graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences. He was formerly employed in hospital lab management, pathology, chemistry, hazmat and a hospital inspector for Joint Commission before joining the Siemens Healthcare Team. Dan’s favorite pastimes were restoring his home, vacationing in the gulf, hiking in the Smoky Mountains, jogging and biking with Madalyn and he was a big Miami Hurricanes fan.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in the Fletcher United Methodist Church, 205 S. Walnut Street, Fletcher, Ohio with Dan Cecil presiding. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, N. Heck Hill Road, St. Paris, OH.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Fletcher United Methodist Church. Donations in memory of Dan may be made to Operation Rebirth, 1638 Apple Road, St. Paris, Ohio 43072
