Obituary

Betty Ann Watkins, age 60, of Sidney, OH passed away in her residence on Monday, May 23, 2022.

Born on April 9, 1962 in Sidney, OH, Betty was the  daughter of the late Robert and Ruth (Berning) Voisard.

Betty married Jeff W. Watkins on March 20, 1993 and he survives.  Together they raised two children:  Aaron Watkins of Sidney and Allison (Dustin) Hafer of Fletcher. Betty is survived by her siblings:  Dave (Marilyn) Voisard, Mary Jane (Charles Bailey) Jones, Norbert (Barb) Voisard, all of Sidney, Rick (Sharry Burk) Voisard of Piqua, sister-in-laws Rhonda Voisard of FLA,  Jodi (Matt) Hickman of Sidney, her mother-in-law Sonja Watkins, of Sidney, two nieces and three nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Voisard, and her father-in-law, Sam Watkins.

Betty was a 1980 graduate of Houston High School and was a member of the Pemberton United Methodist Church.  She worked as a hair stylist for over 30 years. Betty was an active volunteer at Fairlawn Schools where she served on the Boosters, was the chairman of the committee to pass the new building levy and a room mom.  She enjoyed baking, gardening, and watching her kid’s events.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Pemberton United Methodist Church, 6541 Main Street, Pemberton, Ohio 45353 with Reverend Don Burley presiding.  Burial will follow in Plattsville Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the church and also one hour before the funeral service on Friday.

Memorial donations in memory of Betty may be made to Pemberton United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 95, Pemberton, OH 45353, or to Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, 3232 N. County Road 25A, Troy, OH 45373.
