Shirley M. Perry, age 68, of Piqua passed away at 9:25 A.M. on Monday, September 2, 2019 in the Miami County Hospice Unit at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. Born on Dec. 7, 1950 in Sidney, Shirley was a daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Beck) Boyd. She married Harold Roger Perry on October 26, 1973 and he survives. Together they raised two daughters: Trisha (Christopher) Bell of Quincy and Angela Rose of Piqua. She was a loving grandmother to five grandchildren: Owen Michael Green and Cari Green of St. Paris, Brian Green of Quincy, Angelica Perry of Troy, and Brianna Rose of St. Paris, and ten great grandchildren: Kaden, Jacob, Hunter, Jay, Olivia, Gavin, Amber, Zayden, Paxton, and Bristol. She is also survived by two sisters, Anita (Carl) Lunsford of New Carlisle, Sheila Boyd of Piqua, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Boyd and two sisters, Cindy and Rhoda Boyd. Shirley was a 1969 graduate of Graham High School. She was formerly employed by A.O. Smith of Tipp City, Industry Products Company of Piqua, and she retired from Piqua Cut and Sew. She was a 45 year member of the Piqua Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and she loved her dogs, Lightening and Misty. A celebration of her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2019 in the Piqua Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, , 3967 Washington Road, Covington, OH. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Upper Honey Creek Cemetery near Christiansburg, OH. Suber-Shively Funeral Home, Fletcher, Ohio is serving the family.
