Mary “Evangeline” LeFever, age 92 of Conover, OH passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Wilson Hospital, Sidney. Born on September 19, 1926 in Champaign County, Ohio, Evangeline was a daughter of the late Henry Pearl and Dorotha (Murphy) Jenkins. She married Marvin Richard LeFever on December 15, 1946 and he preceded her in death on March 7, 2016. Evangeline is survived by two children; Lonny LeFever of Rosewood and daughter, Gay (Mark) Reedy of Piqua. She was a loving grandmother to four grandchildren; Jessica (Zachary) Stanard, Matthew (Chelsea) Reedy, Joshua Reedy and Megan (Spencer) Peltier all of Columbus and one great grandchild, Everly Stanard. She is also survived by two brothers, Norman Jenkins of West Liberty and Pearl “Junior” (Joan) Jenkins of Alabama, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, a son, Keith LeFever, a sister, Betty Putnam and brother, Estel Jenkins, preceded her in death. Evangeline was a 1944 graduate of St. Paris-Johnson High School, and worked as a cashier at Graham North Elementary. She was a very loyal and caring wife, and wherever Marvin was she was there beside him helping him mow at Rosedale Cemetery, camping, bowling and keeping the score book at softball or baseball games. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018 in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S. Springfield St, Saint Paris, Ohio with Reverend Andy Leighty of the Rosewood United Methodist Church presiding. Prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, there will be a visitation for family and friends in the funeral home.
