Margaret V. Maggie Maxson age 89, of St. Paris, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 6:10 p.m. in Heartland of Piqua. Born on January 19, 1923 in Champaign County, Ohio, Maggie was a daughter of the late Clement and Helen (Wiant) Baker. She married John Maxson on March 1, 1947 and he preceded her in death on June 15, 1995. Together they raised two children who survive: Linda Zammarron and fiance Chuck Nelson of Las Vegas, David (Becky) Maxson of Fletcher. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Gelaine (Gary) Mastny of Las Vegas, Dean Maxson of Covington, Rob (Tiffany) Maxson of Conover, and Beth (Andrew) Craven of West Milton; and ten great grandchildren: Nichole, Taylor, Travis, Carter, Trenton, Riley, Mitchell, Zoey, Grace, and Jamie Lynn. She is also survived by a brother, Kenneth Baker of St. Paris, a sister Marcella Rose of Conover. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three brothers, Millard, Roger, and Harold Baker. Maggie was a 1941 graduate of Westville High School. She was a cook for 24 years at Miami East Schools and also worked at Lakeland golf course and Southwest Bowling lanes. She was a member of the Fletcher United Methodist Church and Eastern Star Troy Chapter. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.in the Suber-Shively Funeral Home, 201 W. Main Street, Fletcher, Ohio with Reverend Andy Perry of the Fletcher United Methodist Church presiding. Burial will follow in Fletcher Cemetery.
