Joseph L. Hart, age 83, of Troy, OH went to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 1:20 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2018. Joe was born on May 12, 1935 in Miami County, Ohio, the son of the late Glen R. and Pauline M. (Jackson) Hart. He married his wife of 59 years, Sue Carol Antram on December 5, 1959 and she survives. Together they raised four children: Gail Hart (Bob Flanagan) of Troy, Joseph L. (Tammy) Hart, Jr. of Troy, Robert J. (Karen) Hart of Fletcher, and Larry G. (Debbie) Hart of Stephenson, VA. He was a loving grandfather to eleven grandchildren: Kara Ann (Matt) Miller of Pickerington, OH, Ashley (Charles) Tiggs of Maineville, OH, Bethany (Charles) Deakins of Yokota AFB, Japan, Chloe Hart (Zach Finke) of Columbus, OH, Matt Hart of Minot AFB, ND, April (Matt) Hendricks of Fairfield, OH, Heather (Rob) Winks of Somerset, KY, Tiffany (Matt) Snook of Troy, OH, Jon Hart of Fletcher, OH, Cory (Andrea) Hart of Denver, CO, and Olivia Hart (Mike Wandey) of Richmond, VA; and eight great grandchildren: Kaleb, Madison, Ryan, Hailey, Trinity, Trevor, Corey, and Evelyn. Joe is also survived by two brothers, Don (Jan) Hart of Fletcher, OH, and Jerry Hart of Vandalia, OH, and a sister, Shirley (Bob) Jenkins of Vandalia, OH, many nieces, nephews and many friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and sister-in-law, Glenn, James and Betty Hart. Joe was a 1956 graduate of Vandalia Butler High School and served his country in the U.S. Army from October 1955 until May 1959. He was a member of the Fletcher United Methodist Church for 50 years and served on the trustees and in many other ways. He was a lifelong farmer; dairy farming for many years in Vandalia until the airport took the ground. Moving to Troy, he discovered the house that was purchased was the very house where he was born! Joe had a great sense of humor and will be missed by all his family and friends. Memorial funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Fletcher United Methodist Church with Reverend David Chivington presiding.
