Adele A. Detwiler, age 88, of Saint Paris passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 in her residence. Born on February 25, 1930 in Cassaglino, Italy she was a daughter of the late Jacomao and Jacomina (Beccia) Aizza. She married Donald M. Detwiler on June 5, 1948 and he preceded her in death on July 20, 2011. Adele is survived by two sisters, Anziacia Maria Cuzzot of Spaneirdsonzo, Italy and Yolanda Franco of Venice, Italy, two adopted daughters, Susan Cecil and Tara Heckman both of St. Paris, two brothers-in-law, Richard (Jane) Detwiler of Urbana and Eddie Hickey of Lincoln, IL and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, a daughter, Doris Marie Detwiler, three brothers; Mario Beccia, and Berto and Benjamino Aizza, three sisters-in-law, Mary Sapp, Doris Detwiler and Patricia Hickey and two brothers-in-law, John and Tom Detwiler preceded her in death. Adele retired from W.B. Marvin, Urbana in 1988. She was a faithful member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St. Paris. Adele loved to have fun! She enjoyed bingo, going to “the boat”, eating out and spending time with family and friends. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 10:00 a.m in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St. Paris with Father Matt Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, N. High Street, St. Paris, Ohio. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the Atkins-Shively Funeral Home, 216 S.
